Benefits include export credit guarantees of up to 10 billion won and insurance premium discounts of up to 90%
The Korea Trade Insurance Corporation has selected 21 new member companies for its Export Growth Planet program, which is designed to help small and midsize enterprises grow into global exporters, the corporation announced Sunday.
K-SURE held a certificate presentation ceremony for the new members at the Westin Josun Seoul hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on Friday.
The Export Growth Planet program divides member companies into tiers based on annual export volume — up to $1 million, up to $30 million and up to $100 million — and provides tailored support for each tier.
Benefits include a special export credit guarantee limit of up to 10 billion won ($7.45 million), discounts of up to 90 percent on insurance and guarantee fees, 30 free overseas corporate credit checks, and customized consulting based on each company's needs.
For export financing, the program raises the guarantee ratio to 100 percent, extends the guarantee limit for three years without reduction, and waives the requirement for personal liability guarantees from executives, easing the burden on participating companies.
K-SURE has operated the Export Growth Planet program since July 2024 and said it has provided a cumulative 2.8 trillion won in trade insurance to the 64 member companies selected before this round.
"We will spare no effort in supporting our companies' leap into global exports through the Export Growth Planet program," K-SURE President Jang Young-jin said. "We will be a steadfast partner, helping member companies uncover new opportunities in world markets and strengthen their export competitiveness."
