About 30,000 guests from over 130 partner companies invited
CEO Kwak Noh-jung and other executives greet attendees in person
SK hynix hosted its "ThanksFULL Day" event at Seoul Land in Gwacheon on Thursday, welcoming about 30,000 employees and family members from more than 130 partner companies.
Executives who have worked alongside those partners across the full cycle — from technology development to mass production — greeted attendees personally at the entrance, including Chief Technology Officer Cha Seon-yong, president of the Future Technology Research Institute, and Chief Production Officer Lee Byeong-gi, executive vice president of production.
An infinity loop sculpture symbolizing unity and partnership stood beside the entrance, with the names of each participating partner company engraved on it.
A hands-on program explaining semiconductor manufacturing processes in child-friendly terms was set up for employees' children, who also received character-decorated balloons and headbands as gifts.
SK hynix arranged additional food trucks offering a variety of menus suited for families with young children, ensuring guests had plenty to eat. Dedicated cleaning and guidance staff were stationed throughout the venue to keep crowds moving smoothly.
The company screened a tribute video at the event conveying messages of gratitude and its commitment to mutual growth with partner firms. A celebratory performance followed, with singers Ailee and Jannabi taking the stage to cheers from the crowd.
SK hynix organized the event in recognition of the significant contributions its partner companies have made to strengthening the chipmaker's technology development and production competitiveness.
CEO Kwak Noh-jung attended the event in person to thank partner company employees and their families. "I prepared this occasion wanting to give you all a precious day, but I feel as though I have received an even greater gift," he said. "This year's achievements are the fruit of the sweat and effort we have poured in together."
He added: "Please share your thanks and appreciation with one another freely, and I hope today will remain a fond memory for all of us for a long time to come."
