The production team behind "Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 4," airing on MBN and Channel S, has flatly denied recent allegations that restaurants were pre-arranged and scenes were staged for the show.

In an official statement posted on SNS on Monday, the producers said reports claiming the program had pre-arranged restaurants or manufactured situations were based on unverified online comments and eyewitness accounts. "This is not true," they said.

The team said it does not contact restaurants in advance to arrange filming or notify them of cast visits beforehand. "This has been our production principle from the very beginning of the program to the present," they said.

The producers also expressed regret over recent reports that presented allegations of manipulation or staging as established fact without verification. They added that they would actively correct the record when necessary against reporting that spreads unconfirmed information as fact.

"Jeon Hyun-moo Plan" launched in February 2024 as a mukbang travel show featuring broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo and YouTuber Kwak Tube — whose real name is Kwak Jun-bin — going on unplanned trips with no pre-arranged itinerary or restaurant bookings. From its second season onward, MBN and Channel S have co-produced and simultaneously broadcast the show.

The allegations surfaced online after the production team of the MBC variety show "I Live Alone" apologized over a controversy surrounding what was described as a staged impromptu trip by Jeon to Kazakhstan. Following that apology, eyewitness accounts alleging that "Jeon Hyun-moo Plan" was similarly manipulated began circulating online.
