All fields except equine industry open to applicants with disabilities and from disadvantaged groups

The Korea Racing Authority will hire 15 youth interns across four fields — administrative support, the equine industry, AI and big data, and illegal-gambling enforcement support. All fields except the equine industry specialty will be filled through a hiring process reserved for people with disabilities and applicants from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

The authority announced Wednesday it is conducting its second round of youth intern recruitment for 2026, aimed at giving young job seekers hands-on work experience.

A total of 15 positions are available: eight in administrative support, two in equine industry specialties, one in AI and big data, and four in illegal-gambling enforcement support.

Successful candidates will gain three months of practical experience at worksites across the country — including the authority's main facility in Gwacheon and branch offices in Busan, South Gyeongsang Province, Yeongcheon and Guri — or through remote work.

Applicants must be between 15 and 34 years old, with no restrictions on education level, gender or major. A blind hiring process will be applied during the application and interview stages, excluding bias factors such as the applicant's school or family background.

All fields except the equine industry specialty will be run under a hiring track for people with disabilities and socially disadvantaged applicants. The authority said the initiative is intended to expand employment opportunities for those who face barriers to entering the workforce.

Interns who complete the program or perform exceptionally well will receive preferential treatment in future full-time entry-level recruitment, including bonus points in the document screening stage. The authority will also offer conversations with new employees, job-search leave and career mentoring.

Applications are open from Wednesday through 4 p.m. on Sept. 16. Successful candidates are scheduled to be appointed Oct. 15. Further details are available on the Korea Racing Authority's recruitment website and through Job-Alio, the public institution job information system.
