Samsung Securities is running an "investment stability support package" promotion that bundles existing events — covering share accumulation, physical gold investment and children's asset management — to target family-unit customers. A family of four can receive up to 540,000 won ($393) in investment support funds along with four randomly selected shares.

The promotion consists of four components: a first-trade share accumulation event, a domestic share appreciation event, a physical gold accumulation event and a children's asset management launch event.

Under the first-trade share accumulation event, customers who have never used the share accumulation service and complete their first trade will receive one randomly selected Kospi 200 stock.

The domestic share appreciation event offers new and dormant customers up to 100,000 won in domestic share investment support. Customers receive 30,000 won upon signing up, an additional 40,000 won after accumulating purchases of 1 million won or more in domestic shares, and a further 30,000 won if they maintain a balance of at least 1 million won at the end of October. Single-stock leveraged and inverse ETFs and ETNs, as well as bond-type and interest rate-type ETFs and ETNs, are excluded from the purchase conditions.

The physical gold accumulation event gives customers who make their first purchase through the physical gold accumulation service 5,000 won in investment support, with an additional 15,000 won once cumulative purchases reach 1 million won or more.

The children's asset management launch event targets online child customers under 19. Opening a new account earns 10,000 won in cash, while switching a child allowance deposit account to Samsung Securities brings an additional 20,000 won.

The promotion appears aimed at broadening Samsung Securities' customer reach on a family-wide basis. By linking benefits to share investment by parents, account openings for minor children and child allowance accounts, the brokerage has structured the campaign so that every family member can experience its range of investment services. The firm also expects children's asset management needs to grow as those customers age.

Alongside this, Samsung Securities is offering preferential online trading commission rates on domestic shares to new and dormant online customers. A discounted rate of 0.0036396 percent (based on KRX) applies for one year on online comprehensive accounts, after which a rate of 0.015 percent takes effect.
