Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport event to draw more than 100 firms and agencies in aviation and leisure sectors Sept. 2-3
The 2026 Aviation Industry Career Expo, bringing together future job opportunities across the aviation sector, will be held at BEXCO in Busan over two days beginning Wednesday.
Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the expo is the first to be held in the southeastern region and combines the aviation industry job fair and the aviation leisure industry job fair into a single event.
More than 100 companies and organizations spanning the full range of the aviation industry will take part, covering air transport, airport operations, maintenance, repair and overhaul, and ground handling, as well as drones, urban air mobility, sustainable aviation fuel and aviation leisure.
To give job seekers practical assistance, the expo will link a career exploration zone, an AI matching zone and an on-site hiring zone into a one-stop process, allowing visitors to gather information, explore options and sit for interviews all in one place.
A range of side events designed for young job seekers to participate in and enjoy will also be on offer. Hands-on activities include guessing baggage weight, learning ground crew hand signals, identifying aviation radio communication terms, an aviation golden bell quiz and an OX quiz. Competitive programs will include an aviation safety speech contest and an aviation industry idea competition.
Jeong Chae-gyo, director general for aviation policy at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said he hoped the expo would "provide a wide range of employment opportunities in the aviation field for young people and other job seekers, and serve as an opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of our aviation industry."
