The Damyang-gun Agricultural Chamber of Commerce, led by President Lee Moon-tae, will hold a series of policy forums as it tours all 12 townships in the county from Monday through July 31, seeking to gather farmers' firsthand opinions and chart the course for agricultural policy development.
The forums were organized to coincide with the launch of the ninth elected-term administration, aiming to incorporate farmers' voices into efforts to expand the agricultural budget and identify new policy initiatives.
Through the forums, the chamber plans to hear directly from farmers about difficulties they face in the field and the policy proposals they wish to raise, then share the collected feedback with relevant departments so it can be reflected in agricultural policy.
The National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service will also participate, conducting sessions on compliance requirements under the public-benefit direct payment system and on eco-friendly farming practices to help farmers better understand the system and apply it on the ground.

"These forums are a place to hear farmers' candid views from the field and to discuss together the challenges facing local agriculture," President Lee said. "We hope many farmers will take part and actively put forward the difficulties they face and the policies they need."
