MOU signed with Indonesian digital data infrastructure firm Hara; partnership to explore cross-border payment infrastructure and asset tokenization
Parametha announced Thursday that it has signed a strategic MOU with Hara, an Indonesian digital data infrastructure company.
The agreement marks Parametha's push to extend its Web3 infrastructure capabilities — built domestically — into the Asia-Pacific region. The company plans to combine its decentralized identity (DID), on-chain KYC (Know Your Customer) and stablecoin infrastructure with Hara's local data and identity systems to explore potential applications in cross-border payment infrastructure and asset tokenization.
Hara is an Indonesian blockchain company that has connected agricultural, forestry and halal industry data — including farmer identities, land records, production logs and supply chain transaction tracking — through digital infrastructure. The firm also operates a DID-based digital identity solution and has recently expanded into digital finance, trade, asset tokenization and remittances.
The two companies plan to first identify high-priority use cases before jointly assessing their commercial viability, technical feasibility and regulatory compatibility.
Parametha will handle technology areas including wallet and on-chain compliance solutions, as well as institutional partnerships in South Korea. Hara will lead local business development and joint solution localization, drawing on its knowledge of the regulatory and market environment in Indonesia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The partners also plan to explore potential participation in regulatory sandbox programs.
"We will use this agreement as a springboard to expand cooperation in DID, stablecoins and asset tokenization across Indonesia and the APAC region," said Kim Jong-hyup, CEO of Parametha.
"This collaboration can help reduce friction in cross-border transactions and strengthen trust in digital financial services, while also improving access to digital finance between South Korea and Indonesia," said Pirnando Buenayre Sirait, CEO of Hara.
Meanwhile, Parametha is a first-generation blockchain company that has participated in industry and policy discussions as chair of South Korea's Stablecoin Alliance. CEO Kim Jong-hyup, speaking at a policy seminar on stablecoin leadership held at the National Assembly in December last year, stressed the importance of a framework for verifying the reliability of stablecoin issuance and distribution.
