Hanwha Corporation's construction division is set to introduce a new integrated design for the gate pillars and entrances of its Hanwha Forena apartment brand.

The company announced Wednesday that it has developed "Forena Journey," a unified design concept covering gate pillars and building entrances, and plans to apply it gradually to future pre-sale complexes.

Where the previously unveiled exterior design "Forena Vista" focused on the distant view of the building, Forena Journey centers on the close-up experience residents encounter as they move from the complex entrance to individual buildings.

The concept reframes the path through a complex not as a simple route but as a journey in itself. The design is intended to give residents a distinctive spatial experience in the everyday moments of walking and pausing throughout the complex.

The gate pillars draw visual attention through a bold color contrast in stone materials, with their structural solidity emphasized to project a premium complex image.

The sides of the gate pillars feature a brand pattern rendered in stone, while gradient LED lighting installed on the ceiling adds a further point of distinction.

The parking ramp entrance uses the same stone material as the gate pillars to reinforce brand consistency, extending a unified design language from the main complex entrance all the way to the below-ground parking entry.

Building entrance designs are also changing. Where previous entrances were open in form, the new design introduces privacy screens to present a clean, orderly appearance from outside while creating a sense of calm within.

Windows and trees placed between the screens allow residents to sense changes in wind and sunlight as they pass through the entrance — an element designed to reinforce the experience of living within a natural setting.

The below-ground parking entrance uses materials in a consistent tone with a matte finish, achieving an atmosphere that is both understated and refined.

"The gate pillars and building entrances are the shared spaces residents experience most closely," said Kim Min-seok, head of the architectural project division at Hanwha Corporation's construction arm. "We will continue to strengthen what makes Hanwha Forena distinctive, so that the act of moving through the complex feels like a journey of its own."

Meanwhile, Hanwha Corporation's construction division unveiled "Forena Vista," a new exterior design for the Hanwha Forena brand, last month. The design expresses the brand's identity within a minimalist aesthetic through a cube-shaped facade that accentuates the building's outer lines and a concept called "Quiet Accent."
