Gwangju Bank (President Jeong Il-seon) is running a 12-week "Joomoni" (Weekly Money Pick-Up) event from Tuesday through Aug. 30 to help customers build savings habits and manage their assets more systematically.

The event is open to individual and sole-proprietor customers who hold a Gwangju Bank checking account.

After signing up, participants who increase their average checking account balance above their May 2026 average will receive weekly cash rewards based on how much they grow their balance.

The event allows repeat participation every week throughout the campaign period, so customers can naturally set savings goals in their daily lives and experience both the satisfaction of saving and financial benefits at the same time.

The program operates across four target tiers based on the increase in average balance: 1 million won (about $647) or more, 5 million won or more, 10 million won or more, and 50 million won or more. Weekly cash rewards range from 500 won to a maximum of 10,000 won depending on the tier reached, and customers who hit their target every week can earn up to 120,000 won over the full event period.
