Joint effort aims to boost hometown donation program participation and showcase regional appeal
Pocheon, Yangju, Paju and Gapyeong-gun have jointly produced a promotional video featuring their official mascot characters to encourage participation in the hometown love donation program and highlight the appeal of each region ahead of the year-end giving season.
The collaboration aims to introduce the hometown love donation program in an accessible and friendly way through shared content featuring all four municipalities' characters, while reinforcing a culture of giving through inter-regional cooperation.
Filming took place Friday, with Pocheon's "Pouri," Yangju's "Byeolsan," Paju's "Parangi" and Gapyeong-gun's "Gatpyeongi" all appearing in the video. The characters' distinct personalities and lively chemistry are expected to draw public interest in and participation in the donation program.
The video will be produced in a short-form format for easy, entertaining viewing and is set to be released Nov. 16 through the official social media channels of each local government.
Pocheon plans to use the joint production and release to raise awareness of the hometown love donation program among a wider audience while also showcasing what the city has to offer.
"We hope the meeting of characters from four cities and counties will give people a friendly and approachable introduction to the hometown love donation program and inspire them to take part," said Jeong Yeong-ok, Pocheon's public relations officer. "We will continue to promote Pocheon's appeal and bring vitality to the region through diverse collaborations with other local governments."
