Jin Kyo-hoon attends residents' autonomy council capacity-building workshop, holds open Q&A session with community members
Gangseo-gu District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon met with residents' autonomy council members and neighborhood chiefs in a series of engagements aimed at strengthening community-centered communication.
Jin visited a residents' autonomy council capacity-building workshop held Wednesday at Paju Jangdan Kong Wellbeing Maru, where he joined residents in a discussion on the role and future direction of residents' autonomy councils.
The event featured a session called "Residents' Autonomy Vision Talk," in which Jin answered questions that residents had submitted in advance and also responded on the spot to questions raised from the floor, allowing for an open and free-flowing exchange.
"It is thanks to the residents' autonomy councils, who have worked tirelessly to enhance residents' well-being and democratic participation, that our community has been able to grow and develop," Jin said.
The workshop drew 120 council members from 20 neighborhoods across the district. Activities included a video review of the past year's work, commendations for outstanding council members, presentations of best practices and capacity-building sessions.
Earlier, Jin attended a neighborhood chiefs' workshop on Monday, where he spent time with the chiefs and listened to their concerns and feedback from the field.
"I am deeply grateful to the residents' autonomy councils and neighborhood chiefs, who serve as a vital bridge between residents and the local administration," Jin said. "I will continue to listen closely to voices from the community and pursue a resident-centered approach to governance."
