A man who performed a lewd act in front of a group of women at a large cafe in Seoul — reportedly while wearing a contraceptive — has been booked by police.
According to JTBC's crime affairs program "Sageon Banjang" on Monday, the incident occurred Thursday at a large cafe in Seoul.
A witness, identified only as A, noticed a commotion outside the cafe while walking by and looked inside, where the scene unfolded.
A man inside the cafe was performing a lewd act while seated directly across from a group of women, reportedly wearing a contraceptive at the time. The witness photographed the scene and immediately called police.
A friend of the witness then entered the cafe and confronted the man, asking what he thought he was doing. The man became flustered, gave an incoherent response and eventually apologized.
When officers arrived, the man claimed the women seated across from him had consented to his behavior.
The women, however, told police they had been completely unaware of what he was doing.
Police have booked the suspect without detention on charges of public indecency and are continuing their investigation.
