From discount vouchers to 30,000-won cakes, 800,000 Tous les Jours coupons distributed at random
Toss Bank is teaming up with bakery chain Tous les Jours to hand out 800,000 coupons — including discount vouchers and cake gift cards — to customers who use its game-based savings product. The partnership adds lifestyle perks to the bank's gamified saving experience.
Toss Bank announced Friday that the "Jelly Hunt Tous les Jours Partnership Event" will run through Nov. 11. The event, which began Thursday, is open to any customer who holds a game savings account. New customers can also join by opening a game savings account through the Toss Bank app.
During the event, players who break blocks and find cake-shaped jellies in the Jelly Hunt game will receive Tous les Jours coupons at random. The coupons come in five types, ranging from a 1,000-won discount voucher to a 30,000-won ($22) cake gift card.
Customers can receive up to five coupons in total, one of each type. Even after collecting all five, the cash rewards earned from finding jellies continue to accumulate as usual.
Coupons can be registered in the Tous les Jours app and used for delivery or pickup orders placed through the app. Both registration and redemption must be completed by Dec. 3; expired coupons cannot be reissued or refunded. Customers should note that closing a game savings account will make any received coupons inaccessible.
The game savings account is a demand deposit product Toss Bank launched in May last year. Each time a player breaks a block on the game board, 100 won is transferred from the customer's Toss Bank account into the savings jar.
Finding a jelly hidden behind a block earns a random cash reward of between 1 won and 300 won. The strategy layers everyday discount perks on top of in-game rewards to encourage customers to return repeatedly and build a savings habit.
"We've added Tous les Jours benefits to the Jelly Hunt game that customers have come to enjoy, so they can have fun saving while also getting perks they can use right away in their daily lives," a Toss Bank official said. "We will consistently offer partnership benefits that customers can feel throughout the saving process."
