Completion permit for Raemian Leventus processed in 27 days — half the 54-day average for Gangnam reconstruction projects last year
Gangnam-gu District Mayor Kim Hyun-gi received expressions of gratitude from residents of a newly completed reconstruction complex.
Kim visited the Raemian Leventus complex to personally hand over the completion permit certificate to residents, marking the end of a 14-year reconstruction effort that began with a safety assessment in 2012.
The project transformed the Dogok Samho Apartment complex at 540 Dogok-dong — a two-building, 144-unit development completed in 1983 and rising 12 above-ground floors — into the 308-unit, four-building Raemian Leventus, standing 18 above-ground floors. Construction began in February 2024, and the completion permit was granted Monday.
The district processed the completion permit application in just 27 days from the date of submission — roughly half the 54-day average recorded across four reconstruction projects completed in Gangnam-gu in 2025.
The district plans to continue providing administrative support to help residents settle into their new homes. It will also closely monitor the progress of other reconstruction projects to prevent delays in key administrative procedures and maintain open communication with residents and housing associations.
"It is meaningful to share the new beginning of Dogok Samho — the first apartment completed since I took office — with its residents," Kim said. "I am grateful to the housing association, the contractor and all others involved who pushed the reconstruction through to the end despite many difficulties over the past 14 years."
Kim added: "Reconstruction is not complete when a building is finished — it is complete when residents begin living better lives. We will continue building a Gangnam where people want to live, so that these new homes become the foundation of greater happiness."
