Starting in November, the district will add evening consultations for working residents and zone-specific on-site sessions, offering one-on-one guidance from experts in redevelopment, law, taxation and property appraisal to prevent disputes and address residents' questions proactively.

Dongjak-gu announced it will expand its redevelopment open consultation service starting in November, responding to strong resident interest and growing administrative demand around redevelopment and reconstruction projects in the district.

The district launched the service in September to meet residents' need for expert guidance on more than 80 ongoing redevelopment projects and to proactively resolve questions and disputes before they escalate.

Sessions are held every Wednesday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. on the first floor of the district office, where specialists in redevelopment administration, law, taxation and property appraisal provide one-on-one consultations.

No advance reservation is required. Residents can receive tailored guidance on topics ranging from redevelopment procedures and pre-sale eligibility to tax matters.

In the month since the service opened, nine sessions were held covering a total of 56 consultations — an average of 6.2 per day. A recent satisfaction survey found an overall approval rating of 98 percent, with residents citing the consultants' expertise and the practical usefulness of the advice, establishing the service as the district's official redevelopment consultation channel.

One resident in a local redevelopment zone said the service provided concrete advice on the timing of transferring a 1+1 occupancy right to a child, expressing high satisfaction with the guidance received.

Starting in November, the district will restructure the service to better serve working residents, small-business owners and those with mobility difficulties.

A new evening consultation slot will be introduced for residents who cannot visit during weekday daytime hours.

The evening sessions will run on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., significantly lowering the barrier for residents who have been unable to attend during regular hours.

In addition, the district will launch an on-site consultation service that brings the program directly to redevelopment zones. Through advance registration, consultants will operate at locations near designated redevelopment zones every Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m., offering zone-specific guidance and collecting on-the-ground feedback from residents.

Dongjak-gu District Mayor Ryu Sam-young said the district hopes the new evening sessions and on-site consultations will fully resolve residents' questions and concerns. "We will continue to do our best to ensure that redevelopment projects in Dongjak-gu proceed swiftly and without disruption, grounded in resident-centered, responsive administration," Ryu said.
