District signs MOU with Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation to revitalize local economy through big data
Gangseo-gu in Seoul will use big data to analyze local commercial districts and deliver tailored support to small business owners.
The district office signed a "big data-based local economic revitalization" MOU with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation on Thursday at the Future Strategy Conference Room on the third floor of the district office.
The agreement aims to conduct comprehensive analysis of structural changes in commercial districts, develop customized support projects that reflect local conditions, and strengthen the effectiveness of related policies.
Key provisions of the MOU cover big data sharing for small business and self-employed support, data-driven project performance analysis, and joint development of tailored support policies suited to local conditions.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will systematically analyze foot traffic and sales trends by commercial district, shifts in consumer spending patterns, and changes in commercial activity following the designation of alley-type shopping streets, with the goal of identifying policies that deliver tangible benefits to small business owners.
"Through this agreement, we will analyze local commercial districts more closely to sharpen the competitiveness of alley-based businesses," District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon said. "We will do our utmost to put in place practical support measures that small business owners can actually feel."
