Targets vehicles within one year of manufacture, with lower monthly fees than new-car leases
Taxes and insurance included; maintenance and accident support provided
Fully contactless process available through KB Chachacha platform
KB Capital has unveiled a car rental product that lets customers lease near-new used vehicles — those within one year of manufacture — at lower monthly rates than a standard new-car long-term rental. The service is fully contactless, from browsing to signing a contract.
KB Capital said Thursday it launched "KB Ansim Used Rent," a dedicated used-car rental product available through its used-car trading platform KB Chachacha.
The product targets vehicles within one year of manufacture. The company said monthly fees are lower than those for new-car long-term rentals, and customers can take delivery without waiting for a new vehicle to be manufactured.
Acquisition and registration taxes, automobile tax and insurance premiums are all bundled into the monthly fee, reducing upfront costs. Contract terms can be tailored to each customer's needs and circumstances.
The entire process — from searching for a vehicle to signing the contract — is handled online. Customers can check a vehicle's condition and options on KB Chachacha and complete the contract without visiting a branch. The product also includes regular vehicle inspections and accident-handling support.
KB Capital has been broadening its contactless services for used-car purchases as well. Since September, it has been running a "Home Delivery ZERO" event that lets customers receive a vehicle at a location of their choice, use it for up to four days and then decide whether to buy. Customers who purchase an eligible vehicle through the end of the year will have both the home delivery fee and the transport fee waived.
"As more customers seek cost-effective ways to use a vehicle, we wanted to expand the options on KB Chachacha beyond purchasing to include rentals," a KB Capital official said. "We plan to continue introducing services and products that satisfy our customers."
