Kyungil University's Anchor Project Office held the "2026 KIU AGORA Industry-Academia Cooperation Achievement Sharing and Corporate Growth Capacity Building Workshop" on Thursday at Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu in Gyeongsan.
The event drew 82 participants, including company representatives and project managers involved in the Rapid Technology Solutions Project, the AGORA Innovation Package support project and the IP fast track support program.
In a keynote session, Ju Dae-won, a patent attorney at Secheongipen Patent Law Firm, presented strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises to secure intellectual property rights and protect core technologies.
Lee Gang-yong, former head of the corporate support division at Kyungpook National University, outlined strategies for planning research and development projects, winning government support contracts and writing business proposals.
The AGORA project team provides stage-by-stage support for companies — spanning technology development, prototype production, intellectual property acquisition and commercialization — with a focus on the region's strategic industries, including future mobility, life care and meta content.
Kim Hyun-woo, vice president for industry-academia cooperation and head of the Anchor Project Office at Kyungil University, said the workshop was "a venue to share companies' technology development achievements, identify challenges on the ground and discuss directions for follow-up support." He added that the university would "strengthen a cooperative framework that connects the university's research and industry-academia collaboration capabilities to the technological advancement and commercialization of local companies, leading to their growth."
