Briefing held on mandatory green remodeling technical support program
25.3 billion won project to select 10 specialized agencies
The Korea Real Estate Board announced Monday that it co-hosted a briefing on the 2026 mandatory green remodeling technical support program for public buildings with the Korea Infrastructure Safety Corporation at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul on Friday.
The program provides administrative and technical support through specialized agencies to help eligible public buildings meet their energy performance improvement targets.
This year's program carries a total budget of 25.3 billion won ($18.8 million), with plans to select 10 specialized agencies to support 150 buildings subject to the mandate. The Korea Real Estate Board and the Korea Infrastructure Safety Corporation will jointly oversee the open recruitment process and manage overall program operations.
The briefing was organized to deepen understanding of the technical support program and covered key program details, guidance on the application process, and a question-and-answer session with attendees.
Applications to participate in the program are open until 6 p.m. on Nov. 3. Further details are available through the integrated subsidy portal (e-Naradoum), the Green Remodeling Creation Center and the Korea Real Estate Board's website.
Lee Jeong-hwan, head of the Korea Real Estate Board's industry support division, said he hoped the briefing would lead to active participation from capable specialized agencies. "We will continue to contribute, as the Green Remodeling Creation Center, to improving the energy performance of public buildings and advancing carbon neutrality in the building sector," he added.
Meanwhile, the Korea Real Estate Board recently became the first agency under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to obtain international certification for an AI management system under the ISO/IEC 42001 standard.
