Seoul National University Hospital announced Sunday that it had reappointed actor Choi Woo-shik as honorary ambassador for its supporters' association on Oct. 7.
Choi was first appointed in 2021 and has continued in the role out of a shared belief that donations to the medical sector provide meaningful help to patients and contribute to better care environments. His latest reappointment marks his third consecutive term as ambassador.
Active across drama series, film and entertainment, Choi has also lent his profile to promoting the value of giving. Last year, he appeared as the supporters' association ambassador in a four-part video series carrying a message of hope that all children can grow up healthy and pursue their dreams.
"I believe that sharing is the force that delivers help to those who truly need it and builds a better tomorrow," Choi said. "As ambassador for the Seoul National University Hospital supporters' association, I will work to spread awareness of the value of giving in the medical field and encourage more people to join in."
Meanwhile, the Seoul National University Hospital supporters' association was established in 2005 and runs a range of charitable programs aimed at advancing medical care and supporting patients — including funding the hospital's education, research and clinical services and providing assistance to those facing financial hardship.
