Luxury package by Lotte Tour Development
Up to 12 travelers per departure
From 29 million won per person
A premium travel package connecting South Korea to Tahiti — a destination with no direct flights — via business class and a dedicated 19,200-ton cruise ship will depart 13 times next year. The itinerary covers Tahiti and surrounding islands where Post-Impressionist painter Paul Gauguin spent his later years and produced some of his most celebrated works.
Lotte Tour Development announced Friday it will launch a Tahiti cruise package combining round-trip business class flights, a luxury cruise with full cabin service, and stays at a premium resort.
The package is designed to take travelers through French Polynesia's most iconic destinations, including Tahiti, Bora Bora — known as the "pearl of the South Pacific" — and Moorea.
Running on a nine-night, 11-day itinerary, the package departs 13 times between June and December 2027, with a maximum of 12 travelers per departure. Prices start at 29 million won ($21,500) per person, inclusive of taxes.
The centerpiece of the package is the Paul Gauguin cruise ship, which displaces approximately 19,200 tons and accommodates up to 330 passengers. Guests spend seven nights in balcony cabins with private terraces, taking in the South Pacific sea at their leisure.
Motu Mahana, a palm-fringed private island exclusive to Paul Gauguin passengers, offers a range of water activities including kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkeling.
To ease the journey to Tahiti, which has no direct flights from South Korea, travelers fly from Korea to Tokyo's Narita Airport before boarding Air Tahiti Nui business class for the Narita-to-Papeete leg. Two nights at a world-class premium resort are included before and after the cruise for added comfort.
Full departure schedules and package details are available on Lotte Tour's official website.
"Tahiti is a beloved destination for its stunning natural scenery and exotic culture, but the long-haul journey and inter-island transfers can make independent travel daunting," a Lotte Tour Development official said. "We hope travelers will use this package — which brings together business class flights, a luxury cruise and resort stays into a single seamless journey — to fully savor the unhurried pace of the South Pacific."
