Mapo-gu District Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun visited the 8th Children's Drawing Competition, held Saturday afternoon at Seokbulsa Temple.
The event was organized by Woori Dongnae So.Na.Gi, a volunteer group affiliated with Seokbulsa Temple, and sponsored by Mapo-gu. Students in grades one through three at local elementary schools attended alongside their families.
District Mayor Yoo encouraged the young participants and personally presented awards to the winners.
The venue also featured a range of family-friendly activities alongside the competition — clown balloon art, a bubble show and face painting — adding to the festival atmosphere.
"I want to give a big round of applause to all the children who completed such wonderful works," Yoo said. "Mapo-gu will continue to offer its full attention and support so that children can freely pursue what they love and nurture their talents and dreams."
