Shinsegae Centum City announced Friday that its volunteer group, "Shinsegae Loves Busan," visited a traditional market in the district on Thursday to carry out a community service activity.

About 20 volunteers visited the U2-dong General Market in Haeundae-gu, where they collected and disposed of large-scale waste that had been left unattended for an extended period and was detracting from the market's appearance. Working in teams alongside market vendors, the volunteers hauled and sorted the waste to help improve the trading environment for merchants and enhance the market's overall image.

The cleanup was timed to coincide with the launch of the U2-dong General Market's night market, which opens Friday, ensuring a cleaner and more pleasant environment for customers visiting the market.

The Shinsegae Centum City volunteer group has been engaged in a range of community outreach activities, including a meal-service and dishwashing volunteer session for elderly residents at the Gamasot Sharing Meal Center in Haeundae-gu in June.
