Korea Employment and Labor Education Institute to run 2-night, 3-day course starting Wednesday
Institute to hold 30 labor education sessions for public institutions this year
The Korea Employment and Labor Education Institute will offer a training course to help public institution employees better understand labor-management relations and strengthen their ability to handle workplace issues. The program examines domestic and overseas cases alongside legal questions, and participants discuss how to address challenges specific to their own institutions.
The institute announced Monday that it will run the second session of its "Public Institution Labor-Management Relations Understanding Course" over two nights and three days beginning Wednesday.
The course is organized into seven modules covering labor issues, labor policy and labor-management relations; domestic and overseas public-sector labor-management relations; public institution labor-management case studies and discussion; approaches to improving labor-management relations; legal issues; and health management. Participants will review labor-management cases from domestic public institutions and discuss key issues and response strategies based on challenges their own organizations have faced.
The institute is running about 30 labor education sessions this year for public institutions, with a combined enrollment of around 1,500 people. The public institution labor-management relations understanding course is held annually as a foundational program within that lineup, aimed at improving labor-management relations.
"In public institution labor-management relations, it is important not only to understand the relevant systems and laws but also to grasp the diverse perspectives on the ground and build trust," institute director Lee Jong-seon said. "We will strengthen professional labor education so that labor and management can understand workplace problems together and find reasonable solutions."
