Host cities across South America are gearing up for a massive influx of visitors ahead of BTS's tour next month, Big Hit Music said Tuesday.

Visit Bogota, the official tourism website of Bogota, Colombia — the tour's first stop — highlighted the BTS concert as a major cultural event, describing the group as "one of the representative groups of global pop in the 21st century."

In La Plata, Argentina, the city and provincial governments are jointly drawing up operational plans ahead of shows scheduled for Oct. 21, 23 and 24 (local time). Local outlet El Dia, citing estimates released by the city of La Plata, projected that more than 150,000 people will attend the concerts.

The La Plata city council designated BTS as "honorary distinguished guests" in July.

In Lima, Peru, a park featuring fountains hosted related programs — including dance cover performances and video screenings — ahead of the group's visit.

Chile Travel, the country's official tourism promotion website, featured BTS's Santiago concert as a major cultural and tourism event.

BTS will kick off the tour in Bogota on Oct. 2, performing 14 shows across five cities — Bogota, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
