Gender Equality Week runs Tuesday through Sept. 7

Kangwon Land is holding Gender Equality Week events from Tuesday through Sept. 7 to promote gender equality and build a culture of mutual respect within the organization. The employee-centered program is designed to foster open communication and shared understanding.

Kangwon Land organized a range of activities to encourage staff to reflect on gender equality and mutual respect in their daily work lives. On Tuesday, the company selected five outstanding teams from its "Communication and Empathy Content Contest" and presented awards, with Gender Equality Committee Chair Kim Eun-young and labor union Chair Lim Woo-hyeok personally presenting the honors and expressing gratitude for employee participation.

The company also held interactive events — including a true-or-false quiz on preventing workplace sexual harassment and bullying, along with souvenir giveaways — to drive active participation and raise awareness of gender equality.

The company also gathered employee feedback through a survey titled "Let Us Hear Your Voice" on building a culture of mutual respect, using the responses to draw up "Our Five Promises" — a set of commitments aimed at encouraging all staff to embrace and act on those values. Kangwon Land plans to continue the events through Sept. 7, providing ongoing opportunities for employees to exchange views and put the value of respect into practice.

"We also ran a snack cart to make it easy for employees to engage with the meaning of gender equality and get involved," Gender Equality Committee Chair Kim Eun-young said. "We hope this event serves as an opportunity to understand and appreciate each other's differences, and we will work hard to build a healthy workplace culture where every employee is treated with respect."
