Promotion covers individual customers taking delivery Sept.–Oct.
Free charging at E-pit and Hyundai Engineering stations nationwide
Ultra-fast, fast and slow charging all included
Four EV models eligible, including GV60 Magma
Genesis will waive charging fees for up to three months for customers who take delivery of an electric vehicle in September or October. The automaker is making ultra-fast, fast and slow charging available at no cost at E-pit and Hyundai Engineering stations nationwide, aiming to ease the burden of early ownership costs for EV buyers.
Genesis launched the "E-pit Charging Appreciation Promotion" on Tuesday. Eligible vehicles are the GV60, the high-performance GV60 Magma, the GV70 electrification model and the G80 electrification model. Individual buyers and sole proprietors who take delivery of those vehicles between Tuesday and Oct. 31 qualify for the benefit. Corporate-registered vehicles and used-car purchases are excluded.
The free charging benefit applies through Nov. 30. The length of the benefit varies depending on when delivery is taken, but customers can charge at no cost at E-pit stations and Hyundai Engineering-operated stations nationwide for up to three months.
Customers who wish to participate must register their vehicle on the E-pit app and submit a separate application on the event page. Once the application is complete and the customer's E-pit membership rating changes to "Welcome," the free charging benefit takes effect. The rating change can take up to seven business days.
Applications are accepted from 3 p.m. Tuesday through 6 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Genesis chose to offer charging support rather than a price discount, focusing on reducing the real-world running costs customers face after purchasing an electric vehicle. The automaker also broadened the eligible charging network beyond E-pit stations on highways and in urban areas to include the Hyundai Engineering charging network, giving customers a wider choice of charging locations.
"We designed this promotion to express our gratitude to customers who chose a Genesis electric vehicle and to provide them with meaningful charging benefits," a Genesis official said. "We plan to continue rolling out a variety of programs that deliver Genesis's differentiated electrification experience and enhance customer satisfaction."
