Consortium proposes 'Tre Vista' brand for 3,856-unit complex

Residential setting to offer views of Anyangcheon and Surisan

A consortium of Lotte Engineering & Construction and Hyundai Engineering & Construction has been selected as the contractor for the Chunghunbu public redevelopment project in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, with a total construction cost of approximately 1.43 trillion won ($1.03 billion), the companies announced Monday.

According to industry sources, the consortium was confirmed as the final contractor at a residents' general assembly held Saturday at Anyang City Hall.

The project will redevelop the area around 768-6 Chunghun-dong, Manan-gu, Anyang, into a large-scale complex of 3,856 apartments across 19 buildings — with four basement levels and up to 49 above-ground floors — along with ancillary community facilities.

The consortium has proposed naming the complex "Tre Vista," combining the Italian word for the number three, "tre," with "vista," meaning view. The name reflects the consortium's ambition to create a landmark skyline for Anyang, with the 49-story towers offering panoramic views of Anyangcheon, Surisan and the city center.

The site sits adjacent to Chunghun Park and Anyang Saemul Park, offering a pleasant residential setting. Seoksu Elementary School, Anyang Middle School and Chunghun High School are all within walking distance, and the complex will have easy access to Gwangmyeong Station — served by both subway Line 1 and KTX — as well as Gwangmyeong Bus Terminal.

To enhance the complex's appeal, the consortium has incorporated extensive green spaces into the design, including a sunken garden, a large plaza and a 4.5-kilometer themed walking trail. A sky lounge on the 32nd floor with open views is among the distinctive community amenities planned for the development.

The contract marks Lotte Engineering & Construction's first entry into the public redevelopment sector. The company plans to build a dedicated team to pursue further public projects, including a mixed-use public housing development near Yaksu Station in Seoul and a public redevelopment project in the Myenmok 9 zone.

"We proposed a specialized design that draws on the construction expertise and capabilities of both companies," a Lotte Engineering & Construction official said. "We will push the project forward with seamless teamwork to deliver the finest landmark complex Anyang has to offer."

Meanwhile, Lotte Engineering & Construction posted consolidated revenue of 1.68 trillion won and operating profit of 122.4 billion won in the second quarter of this year, with operating profit jumping 230 percent from the same period a year earlier.
