Gwangju Bank on Thursday donated 100 million won ($72,200) to the Korea Migrant Health Association We Friends to support medical care and lifestyle stability for undocumented migrants.
The funds will go toward covering medical expenses and basic living costs for undocumented migrants and families raising undocumented migrant children in the Gwangju and South Jeolla Province area.
"We hope this will provide meaningful help to families raising children who are struggling with medical costs and financial hardship," said Lee Sang-chae, deputy president of Gwangju Bank. "We will continue sharing with neighbors who fall outside the welfare safety net."
