South Korea national team wing-back Seol Young-woo, 27, who plays for Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, is reportedly set to join German Bundesliga side Augsburg.

Serbian outlet Sportal reported Monday (local time) that it had confirmed Seol would leave Red Star Belgrade for Augsburg.

According to the outlet, the transfer fee is set at 4 million euros ($4.67 million), with an option to receive an additional 1.5 million euros in bonuses.

The deal also includes a clause entitling Red Star Belgrade to 10 percent of any future transfer fee if Augsburg sells Seol to another club.

Born in 1998, Seol came through Ulsan's Hyundai youth system — Hyundai Middle School (U-15) and Hyundai High School (U-18) — before enrolling at the University of Ulsan. He left after his third year to join Ulsan HD in 2020, then moved to Red Star Belgrade in June 2024.

During three seasons at Red Star Belgrade, Seol appeared in 101 official matches and scored eight goals, helping the club win the regular-season title and Serbian Cup in both the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons.

At the international level, he has earned 37 caps for the national team.

Seol was included in South Korea's final squad for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup and started all three of the team's group-stage matches.

"Seol, who shone at Red Star Belgrade, has earned the chance to prove his worth and reach a new level in the Bundesliga — one of Europe's top leagues," Sportal wrote.
