Paradise City signed an MOU with Kosdaq-listed DSM on Monday to expand their customer reach and partner networks at home and abroad.
DSM's Monolith division is developing a leisure theme park called "9.81 Park Incheon Airport" on the IBC-1 site in front of Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport, near Paradise City. The park will combine experiential activities — including its signature Gravity Racing attraction — with an AI-powered system for tracking records, rankings, video and gaming.
The original 9.81 Park on Jeju, which opened in 2020, surpassed 3 million cumulative visitors as of June this year. The Incheon Airport location, set to open in spring 2027, will feature new racing vehicles and additional indoor activities.
The two companies plan to expand their customer reach through online and offline channels and pursue joint marketing targeting foreign tourists. They will also launch bundled products combining content and benefits from Paradise City and 9.81 Park. In addition, they plan to develop joint overseas inbound sales, MICE offerings, group tourism packages, and education and experiential programs, as well as co-branded campaigns.
Paradise City operates a five-star hotel alongside an indoor theme park called Wonderbox, a wellness spa called Cimer, an art exhibition space called Paradise Art Space, and a large event venue called Culture Park. "The combination of Paradise City's culture, arts and entertainment capabilities with 9.81 Park's dynamic activities will offer domestic and international customers a richer, more differentiated stay experience," a Paradise City official said.
