The world's first international event dedicated solely to the theme of islands is opening advance ticket sales ahead of its debut, offering visitors a chance to experience a large-scale festival celebrating the ecological and cultural value of islands around the globe at a discounted price.
Nol (NOL), operated by Nol Universe, announced Tuesday it is the exclusive advance-ticket seller for the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo, set to open in September.
Held under the theme "Islands: Connecting the Sea and the Future," the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo is the world's first international event with islands as its sole subject, bringing together island cultures and ecosystems from around the world. Running from Sept. 5 through Nov. 4, the 61-day expo will take place across multiple sites in Yeosu — including the Jinmo district on Dolsan Island, the Yeosu World Expo venue, Gaedo and Geumodo — featuring exhibitions and hands-on programs.
Nol Universe is selling advance tickets in several categories, including a standard single-day pass, a family pass and a multi-entry season pass. All tickets purchased during the advance-sale period — which runs through Sept. 4, the day before opening — are available at 20% off the regular price.
The standard single-day pass is discounted to 12,000 won from the regular price of 15,000 won ($11). The family pass, valid for four people, is on sale for 25,000 won, down 20% from the regular 32,000 won. Residents of South Jeolla Province and Gwangju receive a special discount of 30%.
Starting Monday, tickets to the expo's opening ceremony performance will be available at no charge.
"We are pleased to offer advance tickets to the globally anticipated 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo at a reasonable price through a convenient booking system," said Lee Dong-hyeon, head of the culture business division at Nol Universe. "We hope visitors will come with family, partners and friends to fully enjoy the beautiful islands of Yeosu and its future-oriented marine ecology content."
