Coinone announced Monday the launch of a "voucher" service that gives users three types of trading fee benefits with a single click.
The voucher service is a comprehensive fee-benefit package for Coinone customers. Users can issue a voucher through a newly added voucher tab on the Coinone app and website, and the benefits apply for 30 days upon a single registration.
Members who register a voucher can trade all listed assets on Coinone at a fee rate of 0.04%. For Tether (USDT), maker order fees — charged when a user adds order volume to the order book — are waived entirely.
The fee discount applies to trades placed and executed directly through the Coinone app and website. Certain services — including Smart Trading, coin accumulation and coin borrowing repayments — as well as trades made via application programming interface (API), are excluded.
The service also offers a point payback based on trading volume. Members who accumulate 100 million won ($69,800) or more in trading volume over 30 days after registering a voucher can earn Coinone points equivalent to between 0.008 percent and up to 0.02 percent of their trading volume.
Coinone vouchers can be reissued an unlimited number of times. Reissuance is available starting seven days before a voucher expires, and upon reissuance the benefits are automatically extended for 30 days beyond the original expiration date.
Coinone plans to send customers app push notifications and messaging alerts at key moments, including when a voucher has not been issued, when one is nearing expiration and when a payback has been credited.
"We have overhauled our trading fee coupon policy, which previously operated on a prepaid purchase basis, and expanded the scope of fee benefits to all members," Coinone CEO Cha Myung-hun said. "We will work to build investor awareness that anyone on Coinone can enjoy the industry's lowest fee rates and maximum fee benefits."
Meanwhile, Coinone recently added a tab on its app's main screen linking directly to Korea Investment & Securities' web trading system (WTS). Tapping the share investment tab within the app redirects users to the Korea Investment & Securities service page, where they can browse domestic share listings and related information.
