Actor Lee Su-kyung has revealed her soon-to-be home — a luxury unit with top-tier amenities — at a monthly rent of 3.8 million won ($2,590).

On Thursday, Lee introduced the new apartment on her YouTube channel, saying she plans to move in this December.

Lee explained her reason for choosing the location. "People I know live there, so I feel safe, and I can ask for help when I need it," she said.

She also expressed satisfaction with the building itself. "The upper floors are officetels and the lower floors are commercial spaces, so everything can be taken care of in one place without going outside," she said.

Lee showed off resident-only amenities including a meeting room, library, unmanned convenience store and shared kitchen. "There's a breakfast and lunch service if you sign up," she said. "It's a perfect fit for a homebody like me."

The interior of the new unit also drew attention for its clean design. "It's much smaller than my current place, but since there are so many shared facilities, I think living minimally will be just fine," Lee said.

The space that won her over most was the terrace. "It was the space I fell hardest for," she said, adding that "only two units in the entire building" have one. "I want to make it my own space — watching movies or spending time with people out here," she said.

Lee said she signed a two-year monthly rent contract with a deposit of 50 million won and a monthly rent of 3.8 million won. "The maintenance fees might give me a bit of a reality check, but I guess I'll just have to work hard," she added.

Lee's new home is a unit at Gangdong I'Park the River, an officetel complex in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. The building houses The River Mall, a large shopping center with tenants including Himart, E-mart, IKEA and CGV. The complex began accepting residents in February last year.

Located at a prime spot within the Godeok Biz Valley, the complex is positioned to benefit directly from the development of a large-scale business district and Han River waterfront projects. Easy access to the Olympic Expressway and the Gangil interchange also makes commuting to Gangnam and central Seoul convenient.

The complex offers a wide range of community facilities, including a fitness club, swimming pool and infinity pool overlooking the Han River, as well as a golf practice range. Beyond the in-building amenities, residents can also enjoy the nearby Godeok Riverside Ecological Park and Han River Park.

A two-bedroom unit with a supply area of 216.74 square meters and an exclusive use area of 95.51 square meters — the same type Lee is renting — is currently listed for sale at 1.6 billion won, with a monthly rent option of 4.5 million won and a deposit of 100 million won. Another unit with an exclusive use area of 99.83 square meters is listed at a monthly rent of 3.3 million won with a deposit of 50 million won.

Maintenance fees start at more than 200,000 won and vary depending on individual facility usage.
