SK Telecom announced Monday it will offer T Roaming promotions for customers traveling abroad and T Membership benefits for those vacationing domestically this summer.

Overseas travelers will receive roaming fee discounts and expanded data allowances, while domestic travelers can take advantage of membership perks at water parks, hotels and other vacation destinations.

For customers planning trips abroad, SK Telecom is running two promotions through Aug. 21: a 70 percent first-time roaming discount for customers in their 20s and 30s, and expanded data allowances on select roaming plans.

Customers born between 1986 and 2006 who have not used T Roaming in the past 36 months are eligible to subscribe to the Baro and Baro YT plans at 70 percent off the standard price.

For example, a first-time roaming customer in their 20s or 30s who selects the "Baro YT 4GB" plan would pay 8,700 won after the 70 percent discount. The offer cannot be combined with the separate 50 percent roaming discount available to customers aged 34 and under.

Through the T Membership "Club T Roaming" program, customers can also receive a free 1GB data top-up and partner discount vouchers worth 5,000 won upon returning to Korea. An additional family roaming option is available for 3,000 won more.

All customers on four Baro plans — including "Baro 6GB" — and four Baro YT plans — including "Baro YT 7GB" — are also receiving up to 16GB of bonus data at no extra charge. Even after the bonus data is used up, service continues at speeds of up to 1 Mbps.

Domestic travelers are also covered. Running through Friday, the "T Day Week 2" event is themed "Summer Lucky Week" in line with the vacation season. T Membership customers can receive 50 percent off full-day adult admission to Caribbean Bay with a free jacket rental, and 50 percent off admission to Ocean World.

VIP customers can enter a raffle through the "Lucky Chance" feature for hotel stays at five-star properties across four cities — Seoul, Busan, Gangneung and Jeju. A total of 100 winners will receive stays at seven hotels, including Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts in Seoul and Park Hyatt Busan.

Meanwhile, three new partners — Hackers, Flashback Gyerim and Obut — have joined T Membership's permanent partner lineup, adding lifestyle benefits covering self-development, cultural experiences and wellness.

"We have prepared tailored benefits for customers planning overseas trips as well as those enjoying domestic travel and outings this summer," said Yoon Jae-woong, head of SK Telecom's Product & Brand division. "We will continue to expand benefits suited to the diverse lifestyles of our customers."
