Andong city in North Gyeongsang Province is accepting applications from vendors and producers for the 2026 "Wannikyeo Andong Jangter," a direct-sales market to be held at Seoul Plaza from Oct. 26 to 28, the city announced Monday.

Applications are open through July 27, and the event will accommodate around 70 booths.

Producers and businesses wishing to participate may apply in person at their local administrative welfare center or submit an application by email.

Eligibility is open to producers, organizations and businesses registered in Andong. Items deemed necessary for the operation of the direct-sales market may also qualify.

The "Wannikyeo Andong Jangter" is a rural-urban exchange market where Andong's agricultural, livestock and specialty products are showcased directly to consumers in the greater Seoul area, allowing producers and buyers to interact on-site.

This year's market will center on direct sales of local specialty products, with additional offerings including hands-on experience programs, tourism promotion and an exhibition of regional specialties.

The city plans to use the event to help local farms and businesses expand their sales channels while raising awareness of the quality and competitiveness of Andong's agricultural, livestock and specialty products among metropolitan consumers.

"We hope many outstanding producers and businesses will take an interest and participate to make this year's 'Wannikyeo Andong Jangter' a success," a city official said.
