"Sharing government support with small and midsize customers … maintaining stable raw material supply"

Hanwha Solutions announced Wednesday it will cut prices on major petrochemical products supplied to customers by up to 250,000 won ($161) per ton, in response to the government's support measures for naphtha and basic petrochemical feedstocks.
The company plans to lower prices of key products — including polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride — by 100,000 to 250,000 won per ton. The move is intended to pass on cost savings from the government support to small and midsize customers and help extend the benefits broadly to downstream industries.
Hanwha Solutions also said it will maintain a stable raw material supply system through close coordination with customers, strengthening cooperation across production, logistics and sales to minimize supply disruptions and jointly achieve price stabilization goals.
Nam Jeong-un, head of Hanwha Solutions' chemicals division, said the company was deeply grateful for the government's timely support in response to soaring naphtha and feedstock prices. "In keeping with the spirit of that support, we will work to share the cost burden with plastic processing companies and strengthen industrial competitiveness by maintaining a stable supply system," he said.
