Comedian Park Myung-soo expressed frustration and anger over South Korea's elimination from the North America World Cup.

Broadcaster Kim Tae-jin appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's "Park Myung-soo's Radio Show," which aired Tuesday, joining Park for the "Hair-Raising Quiz Show" segment.

Park asked Kim how he had been doing, noting that the first half of 2026 was coming to a close and asking whether he had found it satisfying.

Kim brought up the 2026 FIFA World Cup. "I wait for the World Cup every four years, and this time I was hit with a huge shock," he said. "I'm not even a player, but I still cannot get over it."

Park sympathized, saying he had planned cheering events and appearances that all fell through. "Every time I think about soccer, I get so mad I could die," he said.

Kim offered words of support for the national team. "I still cheer for the players and I'm proud of them," he said.

Park echoed the sentiment. "Of course we have to cheer for the players," he said. "I hope they keep their spirits up and do not lose heart."

South Korea was eliminated from the tournament after losing 1-0 to South Africa in a Group A match on June 25. Head coach Hong Myung-bo announced at a press conference Monday that he would step down.
