"Signal 2," a tvN drama series starring actor Jo Jin-woong, who retired following the revelation of a juvenile criminal record, is set to air this November.

The series has been confirmed for tvN's Monday-Tuesday slot, running eight episodes from Nov. 30 through Dec. 22.

"Signal 2" is the sequel to the 2016 hit "Signal," reuniting Kim Hye-soo, Lee Je-hoon and Jo Jin-woong a decade later. Written by Kim Eun-hee, the show wrapped all filming in August last year. Jo is expected to appear without any edits to his scenes.

The series had originally been scheduled to air in the first half of this year to coincide with tvN's 20th anniversary, but the broadcast was postponed indefinitely after Jo's juvenile criminal past came to light.

In December last year, it was revealed that Jo had been involved in serious crimes during his high school years — including vehicle theft and sexual assault — while associating with a delinquent gang, and had been sent to a juvenile reformatory. He acknowledged some of the offenses, excluding the sexual assault allegation, and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.
