Ulsan is holding the "2026 Ulsan Metropolitan City U-Jam Video Contest" through Oct. 16, seeking creative video content that showcases the city's appeal — from its industrial landmarks to tourist attractions.

This year's contest introduces a new AI video category, bringing the total number of divisions to two: a general video category and an AI video category.

Any member of the public, competing individually or in teams of up to four, may submit a horizontal (16:9) video running between 30 seconds and three minutes promoting Ulsan, with no restrictions on genre — entries may take the form of a vlog, a parody or an animation. Submissions will be accepted from 9 a.m. on Oct. 1 through 6 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Participants must post their video on a personal social media account with the required hashtags (#UlsanUJam, #2026VideoContest), then submit an application form and the video link via Google Forms.

A judging panel will evaluate entries on planning, completeness, originality and usability, selecting a total of 10 winners. In the general video category, prizes go to the best entry at 3 million won ($1,950), two excellence awards at 1.5 million won each and two encouragement awards at 750,000 won each. In the AI video category, the top prize is 1.5 million won, followed by two excellence awards at 700,000 won each and two encouragement awards at 300,000 won each. All winners also receive a citation from the Ulsan Metropolitan City mayor, with the total prize pool reaching 11 million won.

Full contest details and terms are available on the official Ulsan city website under the public notices section.
