The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's Media Education Center announced Monday it will hold the "2026 First-Half Gyeonggi Education Family Video Contest."
The contest is designed to give students, parents and school staff hands-on experience in every stage of video production — planning, filming and editing — while building the creative expression and media literacy skills needed in the AI era.
Entries must be 60 seconds or shorter, with no restrictions on format. Participants may submit news reports, commercials, home-shopping segments, music videos, documentaries, variety content or challenge videos.
There are six themes to choose from: "I'm on your side today," "The tiny change I made to my day," "Thought it was over — but I'm growing," "Black-and-white lifestyle," "Why do I even like school?" and an open theme.
Participants select one theme and use it to tell stories from the education community through video, covering topics such as family, friendship, school, challenge, growth, the environment, respect and digital citizenship.
Anyone in the Gyeonggi education community is eligible to enter. Students, parents and school staff may participate individually or as a team.
