Former mixed martial arts fighter Kim Dong-hyun has given the public a look inside his lavish home, valued at around 7 billion won (approximately $4.6 million).
In an episode of SBS variety show "Running Man" that aired Sunday, cast members visited Kim's home to carry out a mission searching for "unnecessary luxury items for parenting." The house drew immediate attention for its spacious living room and kitchen, a small terrace, and a neatly arranged children's room.
Cast member Haha marveled at the interior, saying, "It's a hotel — it's literally a hotel," while Yoo Jae-suk looked into the children's room and exclaimed, "This is a dream room."
As the search for luxury items got underway, Yang Se-chan spotted a designer suitcase and said, "I can't imagine Dong-hyun carrying this on a trip — all he needs is a backpack." Kim acknowledged it as an unnecessary splurge, saying, "I had completely forgotten it was here. I received it from a sponsor during my fighting days."
The group then came across a large designer bag. "I bought it during my peak showoff phase," Kim said, again acknowledging it as an extravagance. Laughter erupted when Kim Jong-kook found a luxury storage case.
Kim explained that the case belonged to fellow fighter Choo Sung-hoon. "We had a connection when I was staying at his place a while back, and he left it behind when he moved," Kim said. "He probably has no idea it's at my house."
When Kim revealed he was now using it as a charger organizer, the cast broke into laughter.
A notebook from Kim's school days was also brought out, featuring a carefully drawn illustration of Turbo's third album cover on one of its pages.
"You were a huge Turbo fan," Yoo Jae-suk said. Kim replied, "It's my favorite album. I memorized every lyric of 'Only Seventeen.' I always drew the things I loved."
Kim Jong-kook broke into a wide smile at the unexpected fan confession.
