Each participant to receive 2.34 million won ($1,540) per month
Gwangju Metropolitan City, led by Mayor Kang Ki-jung, is accepting applications for its "Social Solidarity Economy Youth Work Experience Pilot Program." The application period runs from June 18 to June 24.
The program aims to provide quality employment opportunities for local youth while helping social solidarity economy enterprises struggling with financial difficulties. Participants will gain hands-on experience working directly at social solidarity economy organizations.
Applicants must be unemployed Gwangju residents aged 19 to 39 as of Jan. 1, 2026, and must meet that residency requirement as of the application date. Those selected will work at social solidarity economy enterprises for five months, from July through November.
Interested applicants can apply through Goyong24, the integrated online employment services platform. Applicants may review the list of participating companies posted in the announcement and rank up to three preferred companies in order of preference.
Interviews will be held over two days, June 24 and 25, and participants will be matched with companies based on the results. Those who complete the matching process will be placed at their assigned companies starting in July.
