Hankook & Company announced Monday it is expanding its at-home car battery replacement service to make the process more convenient for customers.

The company offers the on-site replacement service for its Hankook AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery line through Coupang Inc's Rocket Install platform.

When a customer orders a Hankook Battery product on Coupang Inc, a certified technician visits the location to carry out the replacement. Installation scheduling is coordinated by phone after the order is placed. Customers who order before 2 p.m. can have the battery installed the following day, and advance bookings are available up to four weeks out.

The service eliminates the need to visit a repair shop or wait on-site for a battery change. Customers can have the work done at their home, office, parking lot or any other location of their choosing.

The company said the service expansion is part of a broader strategy to extend the brand's customer touchpoints.

Hankook & Company is also enhancing its online customer tools. The Hankook Battery website offers a "Find a Battery by License Plate" feature, which allows users to identify the right battery for their vehicle simply by entering their license plate number.

"We expect the Rocket Install service to significantly improve the convenience of battery replacement for our customers," a company official said. "We will continue to expand Hankook Battery's customer touchpoints by making full use of both online and offline channels in an integrated way."
