President Lee Jae Myung, on a state visit to Italy, is scheduled to attend the Korea-Italy Business Roundtable at a hotel in Rome on Friday (local time).

In his keynote remarks, Lee is expected to emphasize the importance of economic cooperation between South Korea and Italy amid growing uncertainty in the international order driven by the AI revolution and supply chain restructuring.

The roundtable will bring together more than 30 business leaders from South Korea, including Korea Enterprises Federation Chairman Ryu Jin, Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun, Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon and Samyang Foods Chairwoman Kim Jung-soo.

From the Italian side, Confindustria Vice President Marsiaj, Fincantieri Chairman Mazzotta, Ferrari CEO Vigna and Enilive Chairman Petrachini are also expected to attend.

Key business leaders from both countries will share notable examples of bilateral corporate cooperation and discuss concrete ways to expand it across three themes: strategic and advanced industries, energy and infrastructure, and future growth industries.
