Lotte Hotels & Resorts opened L7 Gwangmyeong by Lotte Hotel on Thursday, making it the eighth L7 by Lotte Hotel property at home and abroad as the company moves to establish a new lifestyle hub in the southwestern part of the greater Seoul metropolitan area.
Rebranded from Take Hotel in March, the property offers 228 guest rooms, a banquet hall accommodating up to 250 guests, a retractable infinity pool and an all-day dining restaurant, among other amenities.
The hotel positions itself as a mixed-use lifestyle destination catering to both tourism and business demand, drawing on Gwangmyeong's strong transport links and well-developed lifestyle and commercial infrastructure.
The property is also the first managed under contract by Lotte Hotel HM, a hotel operations subsidiary that Lotte Hotels & Resorts launched this year.
The grand opening ceremony on Thursday drew about 40 guests, including Lotte Hotels & Resorts CEO Jeong Ho-seok, Lotte Innovate CEO Kim Gyeong-yeop, Lotte Hotel HM CEO Lee Jong-hwan and L7 Gwangmyeong by Lotte Hotel General Manager Shin Gyeong-su.
"We expect this hotel to grow into a lifestyle landmark representing Gwangmyeong — an open space for both residents and visitors that connects people and culture," Jeong said in his welcoming remarks.
