KB Securities announced Thursday that its digital wealth management assets have surpassed 15 trillion won (approximately $9.85 billion), just six months after crossing the 10 trillion won mark in November last year.

Growth was particularly strong in tax-advantaged individual savings accounts, known as ISA, and pension assets, which offer both retirement preparation benefits and tax deductions at the same time.

KB Securities has also been actively launching new ISA investment products. Most recently, it sold equity-linked bonds, or ELB, designed for brokerage-type ISA accounts and targeting a pre-tax annual return of around 6 percent. CEO Lee Hong-gu credited the growth to company-wide innovation efforts. "The reason we were able to achieve 5 trillion won in asset growth in just six months is that we never stopped our company-wide innovation efforts under the direction of providing investment solutions for customer asset growth," he said. "We will do our best to grow customer assets by providing differentiated services and solutions."
