As the Netflix drama series "Teach You a Lesson" continues to gain popularity, former professional wrestler and Hollywood actor John Cena, 49, has drawn attention by posting a photo of the show's lead actor Kim Mu-yeol on social media.
Cena, who has 21.31 million Instagram followers, posted the photo of Kim on Wednesday with no caption.
Netflix's official account responded in the comments with a scene from the series in which Kim's character points to himself and says, "Me?"
The two men's resemblance has been a talking point internationally, with some overseas fans calling Kim the "Korean John Cena."
Cena is a Hollywood actor and former WWE wrestler who holds the record for the most world championship reigns in the promotion's history, with 17 titles. Known for his close-cropped hair and massive physique — earning him the nickname "walking action figure" — he has appeared in the "Fast & Furious" franchise and "Peacemaker," among other projects.
"Teach You a Lesson" follows a fictional Teachers' Rights Protection Agency established to defend South Korea's crumbling education system, taking on problem students, parents who engage in gapjil — abusive behavior toward those in a service role — and corrupt teachers. The series has drawn enthusiastic responses both at home and abroad, racking up 6.4 million views in just three days after its June 5 release and reaching No. 1 on Netflix's global Top 10 Non-English TV chart.
