Daegyeong University President Lee Chae-young received the education innovation award at the "2026 Korea Global Leader" ceremony hosted by MK Media Group on Tuesday at the Grand Ballroom of the Eliana Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The university has been strengthening specialized education in future industry sectors — including K-culture, performing arts, sports, beauty and wellness — and building a field-centered education innovation model.

Daegyeong has also been expanding its global network with overseas universities and educational institutions, establishing cooperative frameworks with partners in Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Thailand to bolster international exchange programs.

Lee's introduction of AI-based education innovation across the university, aimed at developing well-rounded talent for future society, was also cited as a factor in the award.

"We will continue to do our utmost to create an innovative educational environment, expand industry-academia cooperation and build a global education network so that our students can grow into global leaders who shape the future," Lee said.
